LOCATION OF WORK

Observers are stationed at sea aboard commercial vessels fishing in the waters of Alaska. During a deployment that spans several trips to one or more vessels an Observer usually sails from and lands back to the same port. Most work assignments start and end in Alaska’s Aleutian Islands. Dutch Harbor is by far the most common port frequented. There are occasional arrivals and departures out of the Washington port of Seattle.
